Here’s a more technical one for you. If a crew member is knocked out and doesn’t recover before the end of the battle, they will receive less experience than crew members who make it through the conflict and lived to tell the tale.

This is why it can be important to save your First Aid Kits until the final moments. After all, there’s no sense in bringing a crew member back only to have them die again and miss out on all the added experience.
