Bungie removes ''hate symbol'' from Destiny 2

Armor bearing offending logo is cut from game.

Bungie has removed a controversial "hate symbol" from a piece of armor in Destiny 2.

The Road Complex AA1 gauntlets for the Hunter class somehow included a "Kek" logo, derived from a World of Warcraft meme that has been appropriated by the far right.

Bungie issued a statement saying that the "hate symbol" was not included intentionally and "does NOT represent our values".

You can still earn the Road Complex AA1 gauntlets now the change has been made, but they no longer bear the offending logo.

It's not clear how the logo made it into the game in the first place, but you can imagine the person or persons responsible had an uncomfortable time yesterday.
