World of Tanks: Community Tips for New Players

Advice for new World of Tanks players from community members that know best.

Tip #4: Use the Minimap

One community tip that stood out to us was a comment left by Chuck M., who emphasized the importance of knowing how to use the minimap in World of Tanks. The minimap is an essential tool in World of Tanks that every player should know how to use.

Not only does the minimap reveal spotted opponents, it also helps players understand the overall layout of a map and the general direction in which enemies are coming from. A new player should get in the habit of frequently glancing at the minimap to increase awareness and keep track of enemies. They should also get used to pinging the minimap to communicate with their team regarding enemy movements.

Get in the habit of looking at the minimap to track your opponent's movements.

Holding the Ctrl key will free up the mouse cursor to allow for map pinging. Pressing the + and - buttons will adjust the minimap size for those who want a clearer view of enemy locations.  The sooner a new player can familiarize themselves with using the minimap in World of Tanks, the better their skills will become.
