World of Tanks Stronghold Advances Test Begins March 10th

Help test the newly revamped Strongholds feature and earn prizes for your efforts.

Wargaming recently announced they will be hosting a special live test of the Strongholds “Advances” feature and that players can earn both gold and in-game credits for participating.

According to this announcement post on the World of Tanks website, Stronghold Advances are basically a series of battles in which two clans fight for control of a series of supply lines as well as the enemy clan’s Citadel. The maximum number of players that can participate in a single Advance is 30 (15 on each team) and only Tier X tanks are allowed.

Each individual battle in an Advance can typically last 10-15 minutes and an entire Advance usually takes around 45 minutes to an hour to complete. As for the upcoming Stronghold Advances test, it’s set to begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. PST (10:00 p.m. EST) on Friday, March 10th.

Those who want to participate will need to have their clan detachments gathered and be ready to go by 6:45 p.m. PST (9:45 p.m. EST), at which point they’ll press the “Battle” button on the in-game test browser to signal they’re ready to start.

Wargaming warns that latecomers will not be allowed to enter, so it’s important you press the “Battle” button no later than the above start times. As for prizes, players must take a screenshot of the “Advance Results” tab once the battle is finished then post it to this thread on the World of Tanks forums. However, only Advances which end in a win or a loss are eligible for prizes (thus excluding battles ending in a draw).

If you post a screenshot in which you’re on the winning team, you’ll be given 500 gold and 5,000 credits, and if your screenshot shows you were on the losing team, you’ll get 250 gold and 2,500 credits.
