5 Games World of Tanks Players Might Love

Take a break from Arty and try one of these games.

Rainbow Six Siege

Because you’ve taken the time to read this far, I’m going to give you full disclosure on my final pick. I was thinking about going with Heroes and Generals, a free-to-play first-person shooter game on Steam that is set during World War II. However, I haven’t played the game, so I’d just be writing about what I’ve found online. Rather than do that, I’ll just advise you to look it up, watch some gameplay, and take that dive if you think there’s something there.

Instead of Heroes and Generals, I’m going to suggest that World of Tanks players do some digging on Rainbow Six Siege. The game is out on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and it’s one of the best tactical shooters on the market right now. It receives wonderful support from the developers in the form of new content and constant improvements, and the eSports scene has been gaining a fair bit of momentum as well.

However, it may not be for every World of Tanks player because it’s mainly a multiplayer first-person shooter and while tactics matter, so does being quick and accurate with your shots. If you’re like me and depend more on your smarts than your reactions, you may find yourself frustrated because you’re on the losing end of some bang-bang plays. You’ll be fine once you get to know the maps, operators, and the game’s current meta, but it could be a grind getting there.

Still, Rainbow Six Siege is a fantastic game. The environment is largely destructible, which means that, rather than walking into a room, you could breach the floor or wall and attack from some rather unconventional directions. They playable characters are also great, and each one specializes in certain aspects of combat, so team composition is a big deal as well.

There you have it. Five games that those who enjoy World of Tanks should check out. Some of them are cheap and offer great single-player experiences, and others cost a bit more and help you to scratch that multiplayer itch. Of course, there are many more games out there that World of Tanks players will enjoy, so comment if you feel I’ve missed any, or perhaps check out our most anticipated games of 2017 to get some additional ideas.
