Best German Tank Lines in World of Tanks

Picking a tank line in World of Tanks can be tricky, so here are the best German tank lines!

German SPG Tank Line

Another Grille, this time an SPG, and at Tier 5 it offers some impressive damage.

The German SPG tank line grants a few unique experiences. With tanks with wider aiming arcs, better armor, and impressive accuracy, these German tanks are ideal for players that want to rain down damage from the safety of the home base.

The lower tiers are often a difficult slog for tankers, but as for SPGs, so long as you can hit your target, the first few tiers are relatively challenge free. However, Tier 5 is where we’ll be kicking off this German tank line.

At Tier 5, the first version of the Grille is available, a well-camouflaged SPG that offers impressive alpha damage. A shot that connects with an enemy vehicle will spell disaster for them, even for some Heavy tanks. Unfortunately, the SPGs don’t tend to have the German accuracy – so aim carefully.

The G.W. E 100 is a jack of all trades SPG with a large health pool and acceptable armor.

At Tier 7 the G.W. Panther is introduced, boasting a gun with a wide traverse, allowing you to cover more ground without shifting your hull. This SPG also offers a reasonable top speed, allowing it to move around the battlefield in a pinch. Offering low shell arc and fast reload speeds, the G.W. Panther can dish out the damage quickly.

Capping off the German SPG tank line is the G.W. E 100, a perfect all-around SPG tank. With good damage, reload speed, and accuracy, the G.W. E 100 doesn’t excel in these areas but also won’t leave you in danger. It even offers some decent armor for an SPG and a larger health pool, allowing it to stay alive even when discovered.

Picking a new tank line is an exciting experience. It’s a whole new world of tanks just waiting to be tried out. But it can also be a daunting notion for new and old players alike as the time and effort involved can be significant. These are just some of the most popular German tank lines, and we hope this will help you as you decide what German tanks you should aim for down the line. Let us know in the comments what are your favorite German tank lines!
