Countering Tanks Sometimes Requires Community Assistance

When there’s no other option available, turn to the community to help you figure out a strategy.

In World of Tanks, being able to assess a situation and react accordingly can mean the difference between life and death, and being able to recognize an enemy tank and know exactly how to deal with it can completely change your playstyle. Over on Reddit, a user by the name of TPPheasant (a user we’ve come across before) has asked a question we often find ourselves asking: “Just how the heck am I supposed to counter that tank?” The tank in question for TPPheasant is the TVP T50/51.

The TVP T 50/51 is a Czechoslovakian Tier 10 Medium tank that offers an exceptionally fast rate of fire and reload time, high top speed, as well as good aiming time and accuracy, so it’s no wonder that TPPheasant has turned to the community once more to get some input on how to deal with this particular monster. One of the main issues that TPPheasant is struggling with is the rate of fire of the T50/51, as it is able to dish out a lot of damage in a short amount of time.

As far as community input goes, Reddit has fired back with a barrage of tips on how to deal with the TVP T50/51 and while they aren’t options that will leave you outright winning a 1v1 situation, they will at least help you survive a bit longer if you run into one. Most users tend to agree that waiting for them to fire then attacking during the reload time is the best way to go while others have suggested to let your allies distract its focus while you lay on whatever damage you can muster.

Overall, the notion seems to be that the TVP T50/51 is a menace to deal with and probably more powerful than it needs to be. How about you? What are your tips when you encounter a tank on the battlefield that is intrinsically better than your own vehicle?
