The Battle Results Screen in World of Tanks Explained

Figuring out what the Battle Results screen means and how to learn from it

At the end of each match in World of Tanks you will be presented with the Battle Results, a set of statistics that detail your performance in the most recent engagement. Reading and comprehending these pages is important for understanding how you’re playing World of Tanks. The Battle Results will help you learn where you went wrong, how to improve, or just to show off how much tank a** you kicked! Here’s what you need to know when looking at your statistics in the Battle Results screen.

Personal Score

Personal Score

Your personal score is a brief overview of your previous battle in World of Tanks. The Personal Score shows you the amount of Silver and Combat Experience you earned from the battle as well as the amount you could have earned if you had a Premium Account.

This screen will also show you the highest performing vehicles in the match. These vehicles are the ones that did the most damage, got the most kills, or damaged the most modules, among other parameters.

At the bottom of the Personal Score page you will note a scroll-box. This highlights any missions you have available, allowing you to track your progress. This comes in handy as a few of the missions take a large portion of time, so being able to see how you’re progressing after a match helps keep you motivated.

Team Score

The Team Score is a breakdown of both your team and the enemy team’s individual statistics. On the Team Score screen you will find everyone’s screenname, tank type, damage dealt, tanks destroyed, Combat Experience earned, and any medals received. You are able to sort this list by any of the previous parameters so you can compare how well you did against everyone else.

Due to this screen displaying medals an opponent earns during the combat, you’re able to mouse-over the medal to reveal how they earned it. This is useful in that it will allow you to learn how to unlock these medals for yourself, a handy tool for those of us who like to collect 'em all.

Detailed Report

Detailed Report

This is the most information-heavy part of the Battle Results screen as it shows, as the name suggests, a detailed report of everything you did during the previous battle. This is an excellent tool for reviewing your performance without having to watch a replay.

On the Detailed Report screen you will be able to view your statistics from the match that include: Shots fired, Total Damage, Hits Received, and Damage caused with your assistance. It is important to take note of your shots fired and direct hits/penetration as the more shots you land the more experience you will be receiving during a battle. This boils down to shot wastage as well. Consider the fact that you must replenish your stocks at some point, either through automatic resupply or through manual purchasing. If you waste your shots you’re not earning experience or Silver, which in turn means you’re losing resources on the backend.

Another facet of the Detailed Report to keep your eye on is your Time of Destruction. The longer you’re able to stay alive during a battle the more Experience and Silver you will be earning once the battle ends. By analyzing your Detailed Report you can see how much of the battle you missed, be it the final moments or the entire engagement. Staying alive for longer goes hand-in-hand with learning the maps and your tanks, because the longer you're alive the more time you have to practice.

One of the most important parts of getting better at a multiplayer game is trying to understand how you performed during a match, and World of Tanks is no different. Reading the Battle Results after each engagement ends will help you track your skill progression throughout your career. Take the time at the end of the battle to look over such things as shots fired versus shots hit as well as your survival time. If you can increase the quantity of shots you land as well as the amount of time you stay alive you will be one step closer to not only earning more Experience, but also performing better during combat. Take the time to look at the Battle Results screen after each match!
