A Taiko Drum Muster Controller is heading to Switch

Can we have it? Please? Pretty please?

The next game in the Taiko Drum Master series is coming to Nintendo Switch in with a unique controller.

The game and controller are currently only planned for a Japan release, but we can hope and pray that a Western launch comes in time. Revealed by Bandai Namco, the controller itself looks pretty sturdy. It's a pretty sleek bit of kit that Hori has produced and even comes with a drink holder for some reason! Presumably the notoriously tough levels in the game will leave you sweating buckets of water that you'll need to replenish promptly. Now that we think about it, it's actually quite a thoughtful addition!

All in all the controller looks like a huge step up from the rather flimsy PlayStation 2 version from 2004, and it's the closest thing we'll get to a new Donkey Konga controller. At least for the time being...

Well, we can certainly say that we want it dearly, but that might not be enough to see it hit these shores (you and your delightful accessories, Japan!). We're already getting envious just thinking about the new Nintendo tunes we'll be missing out on. Maybe it's time to check import costs...
