A new update has hit Grand Theft Auto V bringing with it a variety of new in-game discounts and bonuses. Aside from the normal batch of content included in the update, Rockstar has also introduced a new battle royale Adversary mode for GTA Online named Trap Door. The mode is available right now to all players across all platforms including Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
As an incentive, players who try out the new Trap Door mode will receive extra bonuses. For example, between now until May 21, the Trap Door mode will pay out double the amount of RP and GTA$. Meanwhile, completing Biker Business Sell missions and Smuggler’s Run missions can help you earn double GTA$ and RP during this time period as well.
So, how do you access the Trap Door mode in GTA Online? First, you’ll want to head to the mode from the boot screen, or set up a waypoint to the Featured Adversary mode. Once you’ve accessed the Trap Door mode in GTA Online, you’ll be assigned to a team which is then pit against another team. In Trap Door, both teams will have to face one another atop a floating platform.
When the match starts, the platform begins to rapidly shrink in size. In addition to the reduction of the play area, players who are killed will also have to contend with a special red zone. Find yourself in this red zone and you’ll have only seconds to escape back to the platform before the red zone vanishes and whisks you out to sea.
