Fortnite's LMG and 50v50 mode are now live

But where's that meteor?

Fortnite Battle Royale’s new Light Machine Gun weapon is now live on all platforms.

The LMG is a new weapon with a high rate of fire and drum size at the cost of a long reload time.

Also included in the update is the returning (and updated) 50v50 mode in which both teams start in separate Battle Buses before duking it out on a grand scale. Supply drops come in batches of 3-6 in this modes to make sure plenty of players can get their hands on the high-end goodies. Epic Games has added a new dotted line on the map which will show you where you’re most likely to run into opposition.

In celebration of the update, players will now gain 2x experience while playing Battle Royale from now until April 22. The full update notes are available here.

No word yet of any meteor disaster, but that’s looking likely to come at the end of Season 3 on April 30.
