Destiny 2 - Await the World-Eater

Figure out what the World-Eater is and why you need to wait for it.

After finishing the Destiny 2 campaign and spending some time killing Cabal on planets, you’ve no doubt come across an item with a simple instruction: Await the World Eater. This hexagonal quest item is rewarded after collecting transmissions from fallen Cabal, but what does it all mean?

What to do with “Await the World-Eater”

Now that you’ve got this item taking up space in your Power weapon slot, you’ll no doubt be looking for a way to complete it and claim whatever reward it might be holding. The “Await the World Eater” item is tied directly to the Leviathan raid in Destiny 2.

If you’re playing on PC, you will need to wait until the raid officially launches next week on November 1st. Once Wednesday rolls around, and the Leviathan raid launches, you will be able to progress to the next step in the Await the World Eater quest item.

You will need to be able to successfully complete the Leviathan raid in order to finish this quest. If you are struggling to overcome the challenges in the Destiny 2 raid, be sure to check out our numerous Leviathan raid guides. Each encounter requires a lot of teamwork and communication, so be sure to get your head in the game.

Before you even think about attempting the Leviathan raid, you will also want to ensure you are at least Power 270 – check out our guide on how to level up fast in Destiny 2 for the best methods. After you do all this, you will be able to finally see what waits you at the end of the “Await the World Eater” quest item in Destiny 2.
