Vermintide 2 update tones down the difficulty

Fighting the thralls of chaos wasn't suppose to be this hard.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s heroes have all received significant buffs in the latest patch to help them last longer against the Skaven and Chaos hordes.

The sequel to Fatshark’s melee & magic Left 4 Dead-style game has been well received by fans and critics, but surprised everyone by being really quite tough. Apparently that difficulty was a touch too much, and the full roster of heroes has been buffed in patch 1.0.5.

The full patch notes get into the nitty gritty details, but by and large the improvements have been made to abilities which offer damage buffs or reduce incoming damage, upgrading character's abilities instead of directly buffing their health and damage.

A few tweaks have been made to tone down some of the tougher enemies like Marauders and Sorcerers, but the biggest changes come at the higher difficulty levels. Veteran difficulty chest rewards are now capped at 300 Hero Power instead of 200, letting players improve their characters further before they jump to a higher difficulty level. Drop rates for Veteran items have been significantly increased too. Check the full patch notes for further details.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
