New Pikachu Nintendo 2DS XL Hits Store Shelves January 26th

The chipper yellow 2DS XL is a must-have for Pikachu fans.

A brand new “Pikachu Edition” Nintendo 2DS XL is set to release on January 26th. This comes after the announcement that Detective Pikachu will be getting a US release along with a giant Pikachu amiibo on March 23rd.

The Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition is priced at $159.99 and includes a variety of adorable features, such as a raised bump for Pikachu’s nose. On the inside, the Pikachu theme continues with brown ABXY buttons and a brown cross pad.

Looking for something to play on your new Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition? You’re in luck, as Pokémon Crystal is also set to launch on the Nintendo eShop on January 26th.

While Pokémon Crystal is far from a “new” game, it’s nevertheless a solid follow-up to the eShop releases of Pokémon Gold and Silver back in September of last year.
