Each character favors certain poem words. Before we get into which poem words Sayori, Natsuki, and Yuri prefer the most, there are a few things you should keep in mind while writing poetry in Doki Doki Literature Club.

  • Each poem word is worth a certain number of points to each girl (1, 2, or 3 points).
  • If a girl prefers a word, her character sticker in the lower left corner of the journal will jump.
  • At the end of the 20 words, the girl with the most word points will be favored.
  • To favor a girl, her word point total needs to exceed 45 points.
  • Some words will occasionally ‘glitch’. These words don’t appeal to any of the girls.
