Nominees for The Game Awards 2017 Announced

Indies like PUBG and Hellblade are rocking this year's nominee list alongside popular AAA titles. 

The nominees for The Game Awards 2017 have officially been announced. To find out the winners, be sure to tune in to this year’s Game Awards which will be held on December 7th at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Geoff Keighley will serve as host again this year, with The Game Awards Orchestra performing select tracks from some of the nominated games.

Alongside major titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild making this year’s nominee list are a diverse selection of indies including PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Cuphead, Night in the Woods, and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, among others. In addition, a new category has been added this year for “Best Ongoing Game” which celebrates titles that continue to grow and evolve in the years following their release.
