Slime Rancher

Slime Rancher has been a huge hit for the indie development team Monomi Park. After launching for PC and Xbox One in August, Slime Rancher sold over one million copies in its first two weeks post-launch. For those unfamiliar with this quirky game, Slime Rancher puts you in the shoes of a young rancher who must make a living wrangling slimes on a planet a thousand light years away from Earth. Slime Rancher is as addicting as it is adorable, and would fit perfectly into the Nintendo Switch indie lineup.

The Long Dark

The Long Dark is another notable indie that fans would love to see make its way to the Switch. In this intense survival game, players must battle the elements and fight to survive in a vast frozen wilderness. The Long Dark launched back in August for basically every major gaming platform except the Switch.

The Long Dark creator Raphael van Lierop began to consider bringing the game over to the Switch after news of Nintendo’s impressive indie lineup began to circulate. No announcement has been made about The Long Dark coming to the Switch, but it can’t be ruled out just yet.
