New Hello Neighbor Modding Competition Scares Up Huge Cash Prizes

Show off your modding skills for a chance to win up to $2,500 cash as well as a sweet digital games pack.

The developers of Hello Neighbor are partnering up with ModDB to host a one-of-a-kind modding competition based around the game. The “Hello Mods” competition is pretty open when it comes to rules, regulations, and submissions. In fact, interested parties are free to submit any creation they feel is worthy. This can include a model, total conversion, or even a piece of fan art.

For modders, tinyBuild has released an official Hello Neighbor dev kit that will help you on your path to modding greatness. They’ve also provided a handy tutorial to help get you started if you’re not as experienced in the realm of modding as you’d like to be. When it comes to fan art, this category is just as broad as modding and covers mediums ranging from digital art to watercolor paintings!

As with any competition, there are bound to be rules. You can view the full list of rules for the Hello Mods competition here, and can also use that link to submit your work. According to the countdown, there are 63 days left in the competition, giving you plenty of time to submit your strongest mod or fan art.

Submissions will be judged by representatives from ModDB, tinyBuild, and Dynamic Pixels. Each entry will be judged on innovation, complexity, creativity, fun factor, and playability. Available prizes for the winners are as follows:

  • 1st Place: $2,500 cash + digital games pack.
  • 2nd Place: $1,500 cash + digital games pack.
  • 3rd Place: $1,000 cash + digital games pack.
  • 4th - 20th Place: A game bundle packed with tinyBuild games, redeemable on Steam.

And there you have it, everything you need to know concerning the Hello Mods competition! Do you plan to compete? Are you thinking about submitting a mod, or a piece of fan art? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below.
