How to get a Treasure Cracker in Slime Rancher
When it comes to opening up Treasure Pods in Slime Rancher, knowing how to get a Treasure Cracker is of utmost importance. Fortunately, all you really need in order to get yourself a Treasure Cracker is a Lab.
Once you have unlocked your Lab, let the Extractor complete its first cycle. After that, look through the Vapack Upgrades. There, you’ll find the Treasure Cracker MKI. Using the Treasure Cracker MKI, you’ll be able to open up any green Treasure Pods you find hidden throughout Slime Rancher.
Note that the base Treasure Cracker will not open of the other two variations of Treasure Pods (Blue and Black) until the Treasure Cracker has been properly upgraded.
To upgrade your Treasure Cracker, you’ll need to build Gadgets in the Lab. To unlock the Treasure Cracker MKII, you'll need to build a total of 35 Gadgets. Once you've done this, your Treasure Cracker will be able to open both green and blue Treasure Pods.
After that, built a total of 100 Gadgets in order to upgrade your Treasure Cracker to the Treasure Cracker MKIII. This will allow you to open up any black Treasure Pods you find, along with blue and green Treasure Pods.
Again, all you need to do is unlock The Lab, then find the Treasure Cracker inside the Vacpack Upgrades. To unlock better Treasure Pods with your Treasure Cracker, simply upgrade your Treasure Cracker by building Gadgets (35 for the MKII and 100 for the MKIII).
