For those looking to snag every achievement in Dream Daddy, knowing how to unlock Amanda’s bad ending is crucial. Unfortunately, prior to the first Dream Daddy update, Amanda’s bad ending was bugged. Now that the choices have been adjusted, we decided to hop back into the game to see if we could earn the elusive achievement ourselves.
After we determined that the bad ending is indeed available now, we figured we’d put together a guide to help all of you Dream Daddy players add another achievement notch to your dad belt. Dream Daddy - How to Unlock Amanda’s Bad Ending
The key to unlocking Amanda’s bag ending in Dream Daddy boils down to negative responses. The worse you are with Amanda, the fewer “Amanda points” you’ll accrue. If, by the end of your game of Dream Daddy, your Amanda points are below a certain threshold, you’ll unlock the bad Amanda ending.
Note that your path towards reaching Amanda’s bad ending may differ. These are simply the steps we followed while unlocking Amanda’s bad ending.
First, it appears the dad you pursue doesn’t impact your ability to unlock the bad Amanda ending. For our playthrough, we focused on Robert as he keeps us out all hours of the night (away from Amanda). Once you have a dad to pursue, follow through the game as normal, then when you come to the critical choices listed below, be sure to pick the following dialogue options:
- I don’t like your attitude.
- Good.
- You have to tell me what’s actually wrong.
- Leave her alone.
- I can believe it.
- It’s kinda dumb.
Keep in mind, the interactions you have with Amanda will differ based on the dad you’ve chosen to pursue. Just remember to avoid joking around with Amanda, keep your answers clipped, ignore her problems, and in general, be a terrible father. At the end of your Dream Daddy game, you will unlock the “World’s Okayest Dad” achievement.
