On the surface, Joseph is a sweet churchgoer with a large family and an estranged wife. Underneath it all, though, larks a dark secret. Dream Daddy - How to Get Joseph’s Original Ending
The first step in getting Joseph’s original ending in Dream Daddy happens when you head home with Amanda to unpack. There, Joseph will stop by and say hi. When he leaves, you’ll want to select the option to return Joseph’s plate. This will give you the opportunity to meet a few of his children.
After that, your choices don't matter, though we recommend not going out to watch "the Game" and not meeting Craig at the gym. Once you reach the backyard barbeque section, pick the option to talk to Joseph and Damien. With that out of the way, feel free to head straight for burger time.
Later on, you’ll be greeted by the Dadbook section. Again, we haven’t determined whether or not your Dadbook answers affect our relationship with your chosen dad. However, we decided to pick the best “Joseph” answers. If you don’t like the selections below, feel free to pick whichever answers you like.
- Polish and sort my coin collection.
- A boat, obviously.
- A well-manicured lawn.
- Salty boat captain.
- Romantic comedies.
- Doing a 1,000 piece puzzle together.
- A sensible cardigan.
- Potential ends of the world.
With that out of the way, you’ll want to select the option to message Joseph out of the list of available dads. Your first date will take place at Joseph’s house. Once there, select from the following dialogue options:
- Chris.
- Egg them on.
- Go with something obscure.
- Spoon duel the Spider King.
- Oh yeah!
- We improvised.
- Remember that one time.
- They seem nice.
- Brownies fix everything.
After that, you’ll have successfully completed your first date with Joseph and will have scored an impressive S rank! Next, you’ll want to make your way through the game, then message Joseph for your second date. When you arrive at the lake, you’ll want to select the following dialogue options:
- Jesus is calming.
- That’s not how DJ’ing works.
- Sandra.
- Start with the Lawnmower.
- (There’s a section here where you can earn a hidden achievement, but we recommend waiting until your second playthrough).
- Running man.
- Cabbage patch.
- Moonwalk.
- Death drop.
- Watch out for blown flip flops.
After that, you’ll have successfully completed your second date with Joseph and will have scored another impressive S rank! With that out of the way, you’ll be able to meet Mary at the bar. Your dialogue options don’t appear to matter, but this section may be important towards unlocking Joseph’s secret ending.
With that out of the way, you’ll want to make your way through the game, then message Joseph for your third and final date. When you meet up with Joseph again, you’ll want to select the following dialogue options:
- Can do.
- I had lobster last week and I can’t wait to eat more of you.
- (Power that radio mini game).
- Wine!! Power pour.
- Do you like your mysteries… hot bodied?
- This view, though.
- What’s it like owning a yacht?
With those choices locked down, your third date will come to an end with an “A” rank. Interestingly enough, the numbers for Joseph’s date mastery also differ from other dads. Perhaps this has to do with his true ending? Either way, congratulations, you’ve now completed all three dates with Joseph and have unlocked both his original ending as well as a special photograph once the credits finish rolling.
