Disgaea 5 Complete feels like a breath of fresh air on the Nintendo Switch thanks to its engaging gameplay and colorful cast of characters. Disgaea 5 Complete is essentially a mixture of quirky design, in-depth strategy, and abstract Japanese humor. If you’re already a fan of Disgaea, picking up Disgaea 5 Complete for the Nintendo Switch is a no-brainer.
If you’re a newcomer to the series, you'll find the game to be surprisingly approachable. There are difficult elements to the game, yes, but you won’t have to grapple with a steep learning curve like other tactical JRPGs. If you already enjoy games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem, Disgaea 5 Complete comes across as wonderfully familiar. Furthermore, Disgaea 5 really is “complete” as it includes all of the game’s previously released DLC.
