The first step in knowing how to call for Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th: The Game is by familiarizing yourself with the requirements. Below, we’ve listed the requirements that must be met in order to call for Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th: The Game.

  • You must be in a match with a minimum of four total players.
  • Two Counselors need to either die, or make an escape.
  • You’ll need to locate the CB radio used to call Tommy Jarvis.
  • You need to interact with the CB radio to officially call Tommy Jarvis into the game.

Let’s break these requirements down a bit further. First, you’ll need to be in a match with at least four other players present. This can include one player occupying the role of Jason, and three occupying the role of Counselor. If someone disconnects from a match and you’re under the four-player threshold, you’ll be unable to call in Tommy Jarvis.

Once you have the set number of players, two Counselors will need to be “available” to be randomly called back in as Tommy Jarvis. This means they either need to die at the hands of Jason, or successfully escape from camp. If no one has died or escaped (or only one Counselor is available), you can still call for Tommy Jarvis, but he won’t arrive until two players are out of the game.

This is actually easier than you might think, as the CB radio will always be inside a cabin with a large red and white radio antenna jutting out from the top. After spotting the cabin, head inside and interact with the CB radio. Upon doing so, one of the two “available” Counselors will be randomly selected to return as Tommy Jarvis.
