GT Sport car classes and full track list revealed

Ahead of limited-time demo launch on October 9.

Sony has released full details on the car classes and tracks available in Gran Turismo Sport, the long-awaited first PlayStation 4 installment in Polyphony Digital's seminal racing series.

A PlayStation Blog update bearing series creator Kazunori Yamauchi's byline reveals that there will be six categories of car in GT Sport, from Group N (everyday stock cars) through to Group X (those too extreme for other categories).

Here's some examples of different cars in each class:

  • Group N: Citroen Ds3 Racing
  • Group 4: Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport
  • Group 3: Lexus RC F GT3 Prototype
  • Group 1: Toyota TS050 Hybrid
  • Group B: TBC
  • Group X: Honda Project

Track-wise, there's the usual huge variety among the various locations and configurations, including stalwarts like Brands Hatch, Nurburgring, Suzuka and Tokyo Expressway.
