It's going to be a bumper week for Destiny 2 players starting next Tuesday as Iron Banner returns and the Prestige Raid goes live for the first time.
That's the hot news from this week's Bungie update, which also mentions plans to discuss Destiny 2 "Seasons" at Twitchcon.
Lord Saladin returns to the Tower for Iron Banner from Tuesday October 10 at 02:00 PDT, and he'll be in residence until the same time in the early hours of October 17.
Between those dates, you'll be able to fight through a special Iron Banner Control playlist, earning tokens that can be used to unlock Iron Banner Engrams.
For the uninitiated, Iron Banner is a special PVP event with unique rewards.
In light of changes to the leveling system for Destiny 2, there will no longer be bounties or ranks to worry about, and level differences no longer affect things.
Meanwhile, those of you who have already mastered the Leviathan Raid will be able to give it another go in "Prestige" mode, where the challenge will rise considerably. The Prestige Raid will be available from 10:00 PDT on October 10.
"We do not expect everyone to be successful in completing this activity," Bungie explained.
"Mechanical changes to the encounters are minimal, but they are there. The Prestige Raid is about mastering a more punishing sandbox. Our goal is not to provide a boon to your character progression, but there are unique rewards to help you shine.
"Consider this your invitation to prove to the world that you are among the very best of the Raiders who overlook the City."
We definitely are not, but we enjoy watching those who are, so we'll be keeping our eye out for the World First clear time for the Prestige Raid.
