Top 9 PS4 Indie Releases of 2017

Take a look at nine of the coolest indies coming to the PlayStation 4 this year.

This year, there’s a stellar lineup for indie games set to release across all platforms. From the Xbox One and PC, to the Nintendo Switch and PS Vita, there’s no better time to dive into the indie game scene than 2017. If you own a PlayStation 4, you may be wondering what indies are worth keeping an eye on.

Well, wonder no more, as we’ve put together a list of the top 9 indie games to check out on the PS4 in 2017!

9) What Remains of Edith Finch

What Remains of Edith Finch puts a unique spin on the rising trend of detailed-oriented narrative games. Developed by Giant Sparrow, the game is comprised of several short stories all centered around the Finch family, who lives in a rather strange house in Washington State.

Not only is their home odd, but the Finch history spins tales of a family curse dating as far back as the 1900s. The game offers a unique look into the vast, unknowable world that surrounds us, and is one you shouldn’t miss out on for the PS4 when it releases this spring.

8) Manifold Garden

William Chyr’s beautiful puzzler, Manifold Garden, captivated our attention when we demoed it at E3 2016. The game offers a unique balance between complexity, and captivating approachability. In addition, the visual aesthetic is breathtaking, though you won’t need to worry about being distracted by the jaw-dropping architecture that surrounds you.

You'll be too busy figuring out how to overcome Manifold Garden's array of 3D challenges. It’s a superb offering for puzzle lovers, and one that we can’t wait to play on PS4 this year. Manifold Garden's release date is currently TBA, so stay tuned to the game’s official website for more details.
