Free PlayStation Plus December Games Are All Indies

Six different indie titles are being offered.

For the final month of 2016, Sony is offering a veritable treasure trove of free PlayStation Plus games for indie fans, ensuring that all Sony console owners feel the indie spirit.

There are six games on the list of offerings in total, many of which actually support cross-platform play on multiple consoles. For PlayStation 4 owners, there’s the hit stealth/strategy title Invisible, Inc. and the action RPG Stories: The Path of Destinies.

If you’re still rocking the PlayStation 3, you can download Hyper Void and Tiny Troopers Joint Ops, with Joint Ops also featuring cross-buy support for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Speaking of the Vita, owners of Sony’s handheld can download and play Color Guardians (yet another PS4 cross-buy game) and the platformer title VVVVVV.

In all, this means that PS4 owners get access to five games in total and PS3/Vita owners get three each. You can check out a preview of Invisible Inc. and Stories: The Path of Destinies below.
