Darkest Dungeon headed for Switch release

Bright days ahead.

One of the best dungeon crawlers of last year is delving its way onto the Nintendo Switch as Darkest Dungeon is in the process of porting.

Announced by developer Red Hook Studios with a video of the game running in handheld mode, no release date is yet known for the Darkest Dungeon port.

The game tasks you with diving into the depths beneath your estate to clear out dungeons with your fellow adventurers. However, the horrors you see and defeat leave scars – physical and mental – on your party and provides a tangible feel of the stress involved in cleaning out the dark corners.

It seems a good fit for the bitesize playability aspect of portable gameplay, so expect another essential game in your indie Switch library when it finally arrives.
