Journey Developer Teases New Game

How thatgamecompany is working on thatnextgame.

Santa Monica-based indie studio thatgamecompany, the developer behind indie darlings like Flow, Flower, and Journey, recently teased its next project via Twitter.

Yesterday afternoon, thatgamecompany started up a new Twitter account cleverly titled @thatnextgame and tweeted a series of teaser images to kick off the account’s posting history. The images don’t reveal much other than the fact that the game will be released sometime in 2017 and will apparently have a central theme of giving.

The image of children with linked hands could signify that the game will have some sort of multiplayer component, while the image of a stone gate in a field implies that (similar to Journey) exploration will be a key mechanic.
