More Destiny 2 maintenance on Tuesday

With Faction Rallies winner to be announced on resumption of service.

Bungie is preparing to take its jumbo space shooter Destiny 2 offline for yet more maintenance tomorrow, October 3, meaning that you'll once again be unable to play it for four of the waking hours you typically devote to it.

According to this week's Bungie.net weekly update, maintenance will run from 8AM PDT / 11AM EDT for four hours, although bear in mind this has sometimes overrun in the past.

That's probably not too bad for American players, although as usual hardest hit will be European players, for whom the game will be down for most of the evening.

This will be the fourth time Bungie has taken Destiny 2 down for maintenance since it launched less than a month ago, and when it comes back up there will be a hotfix deployed and you will be able to see who won the Faction Rallies event.

If you pledged your allegiance to the faction that wins the event, then you'll be able to buy awesome stuff from that vendor at the Tower at a huge discount. If you went for one of the other factions, then you'll need to pay over the odds for the same kit. (Guess again, Guardians.)
