Ataribox console price, tech revealed

The Atari rides again.

Atari’s modern replacement, the Ataribox, has been given a spring 2018 release priced at between $249 and $299.

The teeny tiny box, which will run on a custom Linux distro to run all your old favourites, will be powered by an AMD processor and accompanying Radeon graphics card.

Since it’s just a Linux PC in a svelte package, it’ll do whatever you like for the most part, but importantly it comes pre-installed with apparently “tons” of Atari games, according to the legendary company.

The Indiegogo campaign to fund the Ataribox will be launched this fall, so pretty soon now, and you’ll be able to back at a tier that’ll get you one of these fetching pieces of memorabilia.
