Save The Onion Kingdom From A Giant Spaghetti Monster in Overcooked

Show off your chef skills in this insanely fun couch co-op cooking simulator.

Put on your tallest chef hat, grab your spatula, and brace yourself for the most enjoyable couch co-op cooking simulator you’ve ever played! Overcooked by Ghost Town Games, is chaotic restaurant chef simulation that requires you to bring your absolute best teamwork and multitasking skills to the kitchen.

The key to Overcooked’s gameplay is mastering the ability to prioritize and multitask. Factor in more chefs and you’ll see why the ability to communicate efficiently is one of the most important traits to have in Overcooked. On paper this all sounds like it should be relatively simple and in the beginning, it is. Overcooked is a game that will ease you in slowly and then without warning, will reveal to you it’s not the hand-holding cutesy cooking simulator that you thought it was.

Once the game introduces some of its more complicated mechanics, you’ll feel things start to get a bit heated in the kitchen. The main goal is to complete each level, meeting the monetary obligation set at the beginning so that you can prove to the Onion King that you are indeed ready to defend the Onion Kingdom from the giant spaghetti monster that threatens to destroy it. As you progress through the story, you’ll come to realize that cooking the food thoroughly and getting it out on time is only the beginning to mastering your ever-expanding list of kitchen duties.

You’ll encounter a series of work environments that make it seemingly impossible to do your job and meet the monetary obligation efficiently. These locations include, but are not limited to, poorly constructed kitchens, bizarre food trucks, haunted kitchens, and fancy restaurants with serious rodent problems. Overcooked boasts a full single-player campaign in addition to its co-op and competitive game modes that support up to 4 players. Band together with your pals and sabotage one another in a cluttered, unorganized kitchen with limited resources! Overcooked also features full controller support for those who aren’t as skilled at mincing their garlic or chopping tomatoes using a keyboard.

Overall, Overcooked is a hysterically fun indie title with high replayability and is worth every dollar spent. Its charming cuisine-inspired fairytale plotline and variety of cleverly designed kitchens will have you and your friends cooking fish, burgers, and pizzas with the utmost of ease (or difficulty). Regardless of your skill level, you’re guaranteed to have a blast the whole time through. Buy Overcooked on Steam
