Indie Games You Won't Believe Are Free - Brawlhalla

Check out these five free-to-play indie games that are way too good to be free.

3. Brawlhalla

Fans of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. will find a lot to love in Blue Mammoth’s platformer, Brawlhalla. At first glance, the Super Smash Bros. influence will be hard to miss, as players take control of different Viking characters to battle it out in a 1v1 duel or chaotic 4-player brawl.

The game’s objective is simple, deal enough damage to send your opponents flying off the map. Whoever has the most health at the end of the match wins. While you may not be able to play as your favorite Nintendo characters, the various options in Brawlhalla are quaint and likable. In addition, the gameplay is remarkably smooth for a free-to-play game, with updates and improvements added on a regular basis.
