Hello Games has released the fourth and final entry in its four-part video series which focuses on the four core gameplay pillars of No Man’s Sky. The final trailer focuses on survival, and the many hazards players will face that can put said survival in jeopardy. We already know from the combat-focused second trailer in the series that players can encounter hostile planet-dwellers such as robots and wildlife, and we see a bit more of that in the Survival trailer as well.
In addition to hostile creatures, a planet’s weather can also spell doom for an unprepared player thanks to dangerous weather conditions including extreme heat, extreme cold, toxic atmosphere, and radiation. Fortunately, players will be able to craft upgrades for their space suit which will allow them to survive exposure to these elements for longer periods of time. Just how hard it is to brave No Man’s Sky’s environmental perils is something we’ll have to wait until August 9th to find out when the game launches on PlayStation 4.
