Fortnite's new leprechaun skin has one small advantage

Luck of the Irish?

Fortnite celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a selection of Irish themed character skins, but those choosing to play in the newly added leprechaun skin found they'd gained an unexpected advantage.

As you can see in the clip, shared by Twitch streamer Ninja over the weekend, the leprechaun skin makes players noticeably smaller than usual. A smaller character, of course, is harder to shoot and since these skins can be purchased with real money, some have argued that it amounts to an unfair gameplay advantage for those who have splashed out on a supposedly cosmetic item.

Epic has since acknowledged that, despite being mythologically accurate, it was not intentional. It remains to be seen how, or if, Epic will nerf this surprise bonus.
