A first look at Square Enix's survival-action shooter, Left Alive

Metal Gear? Not in this town.

Square Enix have shown a glimpse of gameplay footage for their new survival-action shooter in a trailer at Tokyo Game Show.

Set in the same world as the Front Mission series, the trailer shows off a snowy, war-torn city before some short shots of third-person sneaking and gunplay against people and giant mechs. The game is being developed by members who worked on the Armored Core and Metal Gear franchises, offering some real credence to the title.

Left Alive is scheduled for release on PS4 sometime in 2018.
