The GOAT Pen is a fun place to explore early, but you won’t be able to access all areas of it until you’ve secured the GOAT Pen Master Keys in Dead Island 2. No matter how hard you search, you won’t find them by hunting through the house. To help you explore more thoroughly, here’s how to get the GOAT Pen Master Keys in Dead Island 2.

You can only get the GOAT Pen Master Keys in Dead Island 2 by taking part in the Creature Comforts sidequest. This is offered by eccentric old man Curtis, who will be resting at Emma Jaunt’s place after you rescue him from his house in Bel Air. The quest becomes available after you make it through the Brentwood Sewer and arrive in Venice Beach to unlock fast travel. If you’re just starting out in Dead Island 2, that won’t be for several hours, but you can still grab Brock’s Safe Keys for an early rare weapon.
If you’ve progressed far enough through the storyline, head back to Emma Jaunt’s and speak with Curtis in the living room on the lower floor. You should be able to see his quest marker when in the area. He’ll give you the Creature Comforts sidequest to obtain some vintage wine from the GOAT Pen’s cellar.

Return to the GOAT Pen house and head inside to the middle levels. You’ll find the wine cellar behind a locked door and a glass barrier. Smash through the glass and take out the alarm in the corner to stop too many zombies coming after you.
Once you find the correct bottle of wine within – you’re after the Maison Sang-Vivant – Curtis will call you asking you to grab some whiskey from Colt Swanson’s House as well. He’ll also note that you can get some cigars from the GOAT Pen master suite.

You can now get the GOAT Pen Master Keys by heading downstairs to the games floor with the bar, billiards tables, and bowling alley. Here you’ll find a named zombie called Goat Pen Jamie. Take him out and he’ll drop the Dead Island 2 Goat Pen Master Keys for you to collect.

Once you’ve grabbed them, head back up the stairs to the top floor and you’ll find the master bedroom to the right. Inside is a trove of loot, as well as the cuban cigars that Curtis is after. Make sure you head over to Colt Swanson’s place afterwards for the whiskey, as completing the Creature Comforts quest will net you a superior rifle from the generous old soul in return.
