Dead Island 2: Clean and Snatch guide

The Dead Island 2 Clean and Snatch side quest sends you scurrying around Beverly Hills on the hunt for clues as to the location of a zombie called Obi. Find Obi’s Key in Dead Island 2 and you’ll secure yourself a valuable sword early in the campaign. 

Unfortunately, Clean and Snatch is one of the most confusing quests as well as the most prone to bugging out. To ensure you get the reward you’re due, we’ll walk you through everything you have to do to complete the Dead Island 2 Clean and Snatch guide and secure a rare sword.

Dead Island 2: Clean and Snatch guide

You’ll pick up the Dead Island 2 Clean and Snatch sidequest outside of Roxxane’s house in Beverly Hills. Obi’s Things are in the pool there, but you’ll need the key to secure them. Once you have the quest, you need to visit three more pools in the Beverly Hills area to get clues as to which pool Obi can be found at.

We’ve marked the three pools you’ll want to visit on the map above. At each one you should find a message of some kind relating to Obi’s work and romantic interests. It is very common, however, to encounter a bug with the quest in which not all of the messages can be found. So long as you have found two of the messages, however, you should be able to complete the next step of the quest.

The messages about Obi’s work all point toward him heading over to the GOAT Pen in Bel Air. Make your way back there (or fast travel if you’ve progressed far enough) and head to the pool on the middle floor of the house. Here you should find a special zombie called Obi The Pool Guy.

Take out Obi The Pool Guy and he’ll drop Obi’s Keys, which you can finally use to unlock the valuables chest. Return to Roxxane’s house in Beverley Hills and you can open the chest in the pool to secure a rare executioner’s sword.
