To repair the knife in Resident Evil 4 you need to visit the merchant. Stop by his store and open the Tune Up menu. Here you’ll find the option to Repair at the bottom of the upgrades for the knife. If your knife is broken, expect to pay out around 3,000 Pesetas to repair it.

You won’t encounter the merchant character until you’ve traveled past the windmill and been been temporarily captured at the end of the chapter. Once you wake up, you’ll find the merchant outside of the building you escape from. Until then, you’ll have to rely on the starting durability of the blade as you cannot repair the knife.

If your knife breaks, you’ll have to make use of any kitchen knives you’ve picked up. These have significantly reduced damage and durability when compared to Leon’s main knife, but they can still be used to parry or break grabs. We recommend having a knife at your disposal at all times as a defensive measure.
