Cult of the Lamb's Blood Moon Festival adds a new ritual and haunted happenings

Four new decorations and three follower forms are available to earn while the Blood Moon Festival lasts.

The demonic villages of Cult of the Lamb can already be a pretty unsettling place, but the game’s free new update is adding an extra dose of ghastly content with limited-time Halloween content.

Starting today today, the Blood Moon Festival update brings various new additions to your village fit for Halloween. Harvesting pumpkin crops during the festival will unlock a new Blood Moon Ritual to raise former members of your cult as undead spirits.

Check out the new ritual in action in the trailer below:

Once the ghosts are loose in your village, you can capture them to unlock new follower forms and decorations with which to adorn your village.

Three new forms are available to unlock, including terrifying bat ears and skinless skulls (both cuter than you’d imagine). Decorations include skull vases to fill with flowers, terrifying pumpkin scarecrows, and wickedly witchy trees.

There’s also brand new music to enjoy while figuring out you’ll restructure your entire layout to accommodate a new pumpkin patch and haunted woodland.

The Blood Moon Festival is live today in Cult of the Lamb, and it lasts until November 10. Cult of the Lamb is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation.
