In Disney Dreamlight Valley Hardwood is a valuable resource required for several characters’ quests including Moana and Goofy. It’s not available in the opening areas of the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow, making it important to learn where to find Hardwood in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In this guide, we’ll list all Hardwood locations including the earliest ones you can get access to so that you can quickly progress in your quests.

The Disney Dreamlight Valley Hardwood locations are as follows:
- Forest of Valor
- Forgotten Lands
- Frosted Heights
- Glade of Trust
- Sunlit Plateau

Of these, the Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, and Sunlit Plateau at the first new regions you can access, as shown in the map above. All three will require you to complete Merlin’s quest asking you to raise three villagers to friendship level 5 so you can cure the pillar in the Peaceful Meadow. Once that’s done, you can pay Dreamlight to open up access to new areas including those listed above and Dazzle Beach.
The Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust are the cheapest, costing 5,000 Dreamlight each to access. We recommend unlocking them first before you move on to new areas to find Hardwood in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Both also contain valuable sources of Iron Ingots, which you’ll need for plenty of other recipes.

Once you’re in one of the appropriate areas, look on the floor for bundles of sticks. They are typically found at the base of trees. Hardwood looks identical to the abundant Softwood only it has a darker shade of brown. You’ll find both Hardwood and Softwood in the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust, so keep an eye out for the darker coloring or just grab all the sticks you see to ensure you don’t miss anything. This area is also a great place to collect Iron Ore in Disney Dreamlight valley.
