One of the many Disney Dreamlight Valley items you’ll need to start collecting for recipes and quests is seaweed. Despite being a very common resource, it isn’t clear how to get seaweed in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The method is a little counterintuitive, but in this guide we’ll walk you through the seaweed location in Disney Dreamlight Valley so you can grab what you need and get on with the fun part of the game.

To get seaweed in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to fish in empty patches of water within fishable zones. When you’re learning how to fish, you’ll begin by aiming for the bubbling rings of water in the ponds of Peaceful Meadow. 

To get seaweed, you need to fish in the same area, but don’t cast your line into one of the bubbling pools. Instead, aim for an empty section of water, throw your line and wait. Eventually you’ll get a bite and will be able to fish as normal. 

When you fish in an area without bubbles, you should catch either seaweed or the most basic type of fish available from that region. You don’t need to fish in the sea to get seaweed. You can catch seaweed from the ponds in Peaceful Meadow – just don’t ask us how it got there.

You can also get seaweed in Disney Dreamlight Valley from the shoreline of Dazzle Beach. Once you unlock this area, you can find seaweed dotted around the sand. It'll appear frequently each day, making it easy to collect more if you need it. Be sure to collect plenty, as Seaweed is needed to craft Fiber, which is used in several quests and items.
