F1 22

What is it?

  • A racing sim based on the current Formula 1 season and roster.

When is it out?

  • Already! F1 22 launched right at the start of the month, but we figured it was worth mentioning for those who may have missed it. It’s on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Are you one of the thousands lured into following F1 through Netflix’s Drive to Survive series? Still don’t know exactly what DRS means? Don’t worry, the latest entry in the F1 franchise adds a wealth of accessibility options which let you tailor how much control over individual car systems you need to manage, and how aggressive your opponents are. There’s also a new home environment to decorate, though the pickings there are pretty slim.

Stray

What is it?

  • An adventure game in which you play an adorable cat in a decrepit city of robots.

When is it out?

  • July 19 on PS4, PS5, and PC – it’ll come day one to PS Plus Extra and Premium.

Details:

A debut title from developer BlueTwelve Studio, Stray will have you feline fine as you command a cute orange kitty as it explores a forgotten city filled by humanoid robots. Platform across rooftops, befriend the inhabitants, and form a partnership with a small drone in order to fend off a nasty plague of creatures that has begun to threaten the land.

As Dusk Falls

What is it?

  • An interactive narrative drama about crime and family history with a distinct graphic-novel art style.

When is it out?

  • July 19 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Details: 

It starts with a hold up in a motel, but this story by developer Interior Night promises to pass through generations as the ramifications of your choices, betrayals, and sacrifices come to bear. Fans of branching narrative story games should definitely keep an eye on this one.

Endling: Extinction is Forever

What is it?

  • A gorgeous side-on adventure which follows the last family of foxes attempting to survive in a land ravaged by mankind’s reckless disregard for the environment. 

When is it out?

  • July 19 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Details: 

Defend and nurture your cubs as you help them avoid the destructive impact of humanity on nature in this emotional side-scrolling story. Endling promises to let you witness the damage mankind can wreak on nature as you sneak through environments at night in search of safer ground. Each of your cubs will grow and develop unique personalities as you help them survive the harsh world. We've had an eye on Endling for quite some time, and can't wait to see how the final release shapes up.

Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium

What is it?

  • A retro collection packing 32 Capcom classics into one package.

When is it out?

  • July 22 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

Details: 

The second Capcom Arcade Stadium includes titles like Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Eco Fighters, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, and many more. The base game will free to download with a copy of classic 1984 side-scrolling adventure SonSon. From there you’ll need to pay for the full bundle of titles. Enjoy them in 3D-rendered arcade cabinets and add effects like scanline filters to recreate the arcade atmosphere. With a little modern-day help from features like rewind and speed adjustment to ease you in of course – those old games are more difficult than you remember!

Xenoblade Chronicles 3

What is it?

  • The third entry in the Switch-exclusive sci-fi JRPG series set in lands atop of the backs of giant beasts.

When is it out?

  • July 29 on Nintendo Switch.

Details: 

The third chapter in the Xenoblade saga takes place in a land in perpetual conflict. Two nations fight an endless war of clones, growing and sacrificing soldiers to fuel the desires of their kingdom’s rulers. Following an unexpected encounter, a band formed of soldiers from both sides must work together to break the cycle and face the real threat.
