The Mission 6: Liberation Kill Challenge in Sniper Elite 5 asks you to put the guns away for once and make use of deadly poison instead. Your Kill Challenge target is Jaan Trautmann, a paranoid Nazi officer who has holed himself up in a fancy building in France. Below, we’ll walk you through how to kill Jaan Trautmann with poison for the Mission 6 Kill Challenge in Sniper Elite 5.
Sniper Elite 5 Mission 6 Liberation Kill Challenge

The Sniper Elite 5 Mission 6 Liberation Kill Challenge will ask you to kill Jaan Trautman with poison. He’s found in a large building on the west side of the map, as shown above. To complete this Kill Challenge you’ll need to remain stealthy, as alerting Trautmann will stop you from taking him out.
Sneak to the wall at the edge of the compound and you’ll overhear two guards discussing Trautmann’s paranoia. They’ll inform you that he receives food deliveries outside his room, but won’t come out otherwise. You can climb directly up the vines into Trautmann’s room and kill him, but don’t do this if you want to complete the Liberation Kill Challenge. Instead, sneak into the ground floor of the building.

On the ground floor you can find bottles of poison to the right of the staircase or in the room to the west which requires you to push open the door. Grab one, then sneak up the staircase, staying out of sight of the guards outside.

On the upper floor, Jaan Troutmann will be in the room ahead, but with the door shut. Stay crouched and approach the table next to his door. You can interact with the glass here to pour poison into it.

Once you’ve poisoned the drink, interact with the small bell next to it to alert Jaan Troutmann that his food is ready. Once you ding it, quickly head out to the balcony and hide. After a short delay, Troutmann will walk out and drink from the poisoned glass. Apparently the poison he keeps around the house is very fast acting, as he’ll shortly collapse, completing the Mission 6 Kill Challenge.
