Fortnite's PUBG-style Battle Royale mode will launch next week

The best part? It's free.

Fortnite will be releasing a new Battle Royale mode à la PUBG on September 26 for free.

The new mode will pit 100 players against each other and developer Epic has been keen to stress that the game will have microtransactions but these won’t include any items that give a competitive advantage. Purchasables will be restricted to cosmetic items and external content. A squads mode will also be included, allowing you to face off with friends.
