Pikmin Bloom's May Community Day proves roses aren't always red

Toodle-oo tulips, as roses will soon be your new best buds in Pikmin Bloom.

The next Pikmin Bloom Community Day has been announced, and everything’s coming up roses.

Set to take place on Saturday, May 21, the upcoming Pikmin Bloom Community Day celebrates the variety of rose colors and types out in the world. The event will see several bonuses applied to all players, including rose blooms for planting regular flower petals while walking.

Here’s everything the new Pikmin Bloom Community Day for May will include:

  • Big Flowers will bloom into roses when you plant regular blue, red, yellow, or white petals around them.
  • Players achieving the 10,000 step goal on this day will be awarded a special Rose Flower Badge.
  • Seedlings in your planter pack will grow at 1.5x the usual speed (and more, if you’re flower planting!).
  • Receive 1 bonus coin per 250 flowers planted instead of the usual 500 (capped at 60 coins/day).

“Did you know that there are over 300 species of roses around the world?” The announcement post on the Pikmin Bloom website reads. “These beautiful flowers are currently in season in Pikmin Bloom, and will be the protagonists of the next Community Day. Red, blue, yellow, white,... mark your calendars, and get ready to turn the world around you into a celebration of color!”

The Community Day also arrives alongside an update to Nectar. Starting on May 21, Pikmin Bloom players can get rose nectar from fruits instead of the current tulip nectar. Currently, the mobile walking game is sporting tulips galore following Earth Day celebrations which took place at the end of April. And if you missed it previously, Sushi Decor was added to your potential Pikmin pickups, so you’ve got a good excuse to get out there and find those japanese restaurants!

The next Pikmin Bloom Community Day takes place May 21st, 2022.
