Last night the 2022 BAFTA Games Awards winners were announced, recognizing the finest video games and the talent behind them from the year gone by. The BAFTA Games Awards celebrate a huge number of categories covering genres as well as technical and narrative accomplishments. The big winner of the night was Returnal, which scooped the Best Game Award along with achievements in audio and music. Returnal’s leading voice actor, Jane Perry, was also recognized in the Performer in a Leading Role. It Takes Two snagged a double win in Multiplayer and Original Property, as did Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for Animation and Technical Achievement. Unpacking also scooped both the Narrative award and the community vote in the EE Game of the Year award.
