Microsoft's celebrating the release of the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 movie next week with a console giveaway featuring custom furry controllers.
Of course, in the announcement of the sweepstakes for an Xbox Series S console and its fuzzy peripherals, Microsoft has tried very hard not to say the word 'furry' at all, given the Sonic fandom's overlap with the internet's most infamous subculture.
The Series S console you can win by following and retweeting the below tweet (with the included hashtag) features Sonic and Knuckles facing off, while the color-matched controllers are supposed to be "reminiscent of the 'bristly' texture of hedgehogs in the wild." We hope not, though, as that would be quite uncomfortable to play with. They definitely look more furry than bristly.

It's unclear if these custom controllers will ever be made available to buy outside of this giveaway, so make sure to get your entries in if this abomination speaks to you. May you have luck on your side and palms that don't sweat ever.
Even if you don't manage to win these incredibly cursed controllers, you can still console yourself with watching the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie in theaters in the US from April 8.
