The simplest method to change Pokémon moves is to open your Satchel by pressing up on the D-Pad. When you’re on the page showing your items with your Pokémon lineup on the right, you can use the D-Pad or analog stick to shift over and select Pokémon in your party.

Press A on a Pokémon in your current team and a menu will pop up. Choose “Change moves” and you’ll be presented with a list of all the moves your Pokémon currently knows on the left, with the four moves they have equipped on the right.Select the moves you want to swap in, then you can select the equipped move to trade with. Once you’re happy with the list of equipped moves, press the X button to confirm your choice.

Keep an eye on your Pokémon’s name when they level up, as sometimes you’ll see a message telling you that they’ve learned a new move. Swapping to new moves is a great idea when they unlock, as it’ll help you master moves quickly.

The other method to change Pokémon moves in Pokémon Legends Arceus is to visit Zisu in the training grounds of Jubilife Village. You can find her at the other end of the street from the gate you go through to head out on expeditions. Speak with Zisu and select “I want new moves”.

Zisu can train any of your Pokémon to learn new moves, often including ones which they wouldn’t normally learn and don’t match their type. This is a great way to outfit some Pokémon with useful moves that’ll benefit you in battle. However, there’s a steep cost to paying for moves here, so make sure you’ve got some money-making schemes to fund it (learning how to craft Star Pieces with shards is an excellent option).
