Pokemon Legends: Arceus: What to do with Shards

After you’ve gathered up items in a space-time rift, you might be wondering what to do with Shards in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. You’ll find Shards in several different colors when rare items start spawning inside rifts, but what you’re supposed to use them for isn’t clear. In this guide, we’ll explain how to use Shards in Pokémon Legends: Arceus to make you large sums of money.

What to do with Shards in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Shards are a crafting material primarily obtained inside the space-time rifts which temporarily form in regions you’re exploring. You can use shards in Pokémon Legends: Arceus to craft Star Pieces, which sell for large amounts of money.

Before you can do this, you’ll need to purchase the Star Piece recipe from the craftsman in Jubilife Village. For us, it unlocked around the time we took down our second Noble Pokémon, which isn’t long into Pokémon Legends Arceus’s story. Keep revisiting him after you play through sections to see when it arrives. 

The Star Piece recipe costs 10,000, which is a lot. Given you’ll make 5,000 from each Star Piece, however, it’s well worth picking up once you start exploring space-time rifts. Just two will recoup your expenses on the crafting recipe.

Crafting a Star Piece will require the following ingredients:

• 3x Red Shards
• 3x Blue Shards
• 3x Green Shards
• 1x Stardust

Each Shard can be sold individually, but you’ll make far more if you store them up to craft Star Pieces. Take them to the General store once crafted to claim 5,000 for each.

Once you have this recipe, you can use space-time rifts and Shards in Pokémon Legends: Arceus to make major amounts of money. You don’t even need to fight the Pokémon within them – just run away on a mount, picking up any items you see spawning on the ground.
